Discover Discovery

Tech and Learning is a publication I subscribe to both in print and their online newsletter. It helps me to keep up on some of what is going on in the ed tech world. Today's "Tech and Learning News"  shared a Powerpoint presentation done at an Ed Tech conference in New England recently on free technology resources sponsored by the Discovery Education. There are 25 of them! Check out the "Tech Bits" tab above and enjoy.

A New Pinning Option for Educators

Many of you check out Pintrest on a regular basis for a variety of reasons. It started out as a way to share personal passions and ideas with pictures. Teachers latched on to it as well and there are many great classroom and lesson ideas to be found. About 6 months ago I came across the purely educational version of Pintrest - Learnist (the link can be found in the Links You'll Love tab above). Both teachers and students can go there and create "learn boards" about any topic or theme you wish. Today, as I am filtering through some blogs I read regularly, I see a post Richard Byrne added last week that Learnist now has an app. It's free and is installing on my iPad right now. Check it out either online or on your favorite device.
